I was born in Delaware where I spent the first 22 years of my life.

I proudly graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Delaware in 1999.

​

The early 2000s marked a significant milestone in my personal life. In 2001 was the arrival of my first daughter in Denver, Colorado, followed by the birth of my second daughter in 2003 in the historic setting of Williamsburg, Virginia.    

My understanding of the interconnectedness of life and what truly matters set me in the direction of education.

In 2008, I attained a Masters’s degree in Education from Sunbridge College, NY specializing in Waldorf Elementary Education. The journey into the world of Waldorf education marked a turning point, shaping my pedagogical approach and philosophy.

​

With over two decades dedicated to education, my professional path has taken me across the United States- from the picturesque landscape of Virginia and Colorado to the diverse communities of Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii. Each location enriched my perspective and added unique layers to my educational expertise.

Recently, I embarked on a new adventure working with summer camp crafting programs through the city of Redmond, proudly associated with my new venture, Crafty Owl LLC. This exciting endeavor allows me to bring the joy of crafting to young minds, fostering creativity and skill development in a lively and engaging setting.

In addition to my work with young learners, I offer adult crafting classes tailored for all ages 14+. Crafting is a timeless pursuit, and my classes provide a space for individuals to explore their creative potential and unwind through artistic expression.

​

Complimenting my hands-on involvement in crafting, I offer First-grade Ready Assessments for ages 4-7. These assessments are designed to gauge developmental readiness, emphasizing a holistic approach to education that extends beyond traditional classroom boundaries.

Currently based in Redmond, Washington, I find myself immersed in a specialized school dedicated to achieving cognitive development and improvement. My work extends to children ranging from 9-21 years old, encompassing a broad spectrum of educational needs (ADHD, ADD, OCD, ASD, etc).

​

As I continue my journey in education, my story unfolds as a testament to the transformative power of learning and the enduring impact of dedicated educators. With each chapter, I strive to cultivate an environment where young minds can flourish, knowing that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong adventure.
